My two girlfriends and I did a private tour to Altun Ha with Abner. First of all, he was so kind and funny but also extremely knowledgeable about Belize and Mayan history. He provided us with so much information about the country that we were unfamiliar with. He also took us to the city to go shopping and we stopped at a couple roadside places for lunch and wine tasting. Try the gibnut if you have a chance, it’s pretty tasty, kinda pork-ish. We also stopped long the road to see some wildlife, a baby croc and a small snapping turtle. He also told us all about the Mayan sport of Pok-ta-pok, he is on the national team, it is fascinating.
